Catawba Area Agency of Aging Resident Assessments

The Rock Hill Housing Authority's ROSS Program and Catawba Area Agency on Aging collaborated together to provide free senior assessments in Workman Village and Confederate Park Apartments on October 24th and 25th. These assessments include eligibility for services like the Senior Center, Caregiver Grants, Home Delivered Meals, Homemaker Services, and S.H.I.P., a program to help recuperate money that Medicare Part D takes each month.

There were freebies of walking canes, posture canes, Covid-19 Saliva Tests, Disinfectant Wipes, Hand Sanitizer, Keychain flashlights, and more! We were able to have multiple residents have an assessment for Catawba's services, and many of those residents have been successfully signed up for home-delivered meal services, S.H.I.P., and the senior center. Caregivers of residents were able to receive information as well for services they and their loved ones may be eligible for.

We plan to have an assessment each month at every property that RHHA manages. This is a great event for you and your loved ones!
