Help Spread the Word! Enter the Radon Poster Contest

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is sponsoring its eighth statewide radon poster contest to help spread the important health message about radon.

Radon is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that can cause lung cancer.

Children ages 9-14, enrolled in a public, private, territorial, tribal, Department of Defense or home school, or through a sponsoring club (such as an art, computer, or science club, scouting organization, or 4-H Club) in South Carolina are eligible.

The South Carolina poster contest will have three overall winners and two Honorable Mention awards chosen by a judging panel.

  • First place will receive a $125 gift card and a $50 gift card to the school.
  • Second place will receive a $100 gift card and a $25 gift card to the school.
  • Third place will receive a $75 gift card and a $25 gift card to the school.

Entry deadline is October 31, 2022.
